Sam has had a love affair with Africa since she can remember, venturing there for the first time in 2009.

Visiting as a professional landscape photographer, Sam‘s passion for the African wildlife and the deep spiritual connection she felt, converted her to pursue full time African Wildlife Photography, with images now sold worldwide.

With the deep respect for all living creatures, and compassion to look after them, came the natural progression into the world of conservation. Sam is a firm believer that photography plays an important role in the conservation industry. ‘If we can educate people, evoke emotion, encouraging people to feel compassion towards our wildlife through powerful imagery, then people will want to look after and protect what we have‘ says Sam.

Sam uses her images to raise funding towards several conservation organizations including Walking For Lions for which she is now the Australian coordinator. She also supports Orphans and schools in Africa.

Now running small group African photographic safaris and even though photography based, all have an underlying conservation awareness incorporated into each itinerary.

Originally from New Zealand, Sam now resides in Melbourne, Victoria with her two children and cat.

Come and see her amazing photography at the market every 4th Sunday.
