SEE & SEW Book

My eldest daughter has this book. It is spiral bound, which makes it perfect to work through and even photo copy the projects so as not to ruin the actual book.  The vintage illustrations are so cute and the information very easy to understand.  It teaches your child the basics of sewing & stitches, safely sewing, sewing on a buttons and all about different finishes and trims.  It then has about 14 sewing projects for you and the kids to tackle.

I personally LOVE the Sewing Cards.

Sewing cards are a great way to practice basic sewing and embroidery stitches. You can make up your own designs (or use the ones in the book) and then copy the image onto card stock. (Normal copy paper is too flimsy).
Other projects in the book include: Apron, Baby‘s Bib, Elf Slippers, Drawstring Bag...
You can get this from your local bookstore, library or online here
