Here are just a select few AWESOME online stores that you can buy and if you‘re lucky enough sell from.  Please feel free to leave a comment and tell us about any other stores you know of!

Big Cartel

I personally LOVE Big Cartel, it provides clothing designers, bands, jewelry makers, crafters, and other artists with their own customizable store to sell their stuff online. You can really go to town with your store display; you need to know basic coding.

Blue Caravan

Bluecaravan is a venue for buyers and
sellers of all things independently
designed and ethically made. Bluecaravan supports and promotes
direct trade with emerging and
Independent designers.

Etsy
Etsy was created to reconnect producer and consumer, and swing the pendulum back to a time when we bought our bread from the baker, food from the farmer, and shoes from the cobbler.
Etsy is a community that actively supports one another in the shared goal of offering alternatives to mass-produced objects. They work to highlight the true value of handmade goods and their creators and encourage awareness of the social and environmental implications of production and consumption.  Etsy helps provide artists with the technology and information & networking they need to start and grow their own business.

Georgie Love

Georgie Love launched in March 2006 and was Australia‘s first website store dedicated to promoting and selling handmade delights from independent and emerging artists from Australia! Georgie Love is filled with a mix of edgy, eclectic, funky and beautiful pieces that are either one-off originals or a part of a very small run. Most things can‘t be found in stores anywhere else! Georgie Love‘s items are made by hand and not in factories, usually from a range of recycled and vintage fabrics. They love all things produced ethically and locally

Leeloo
Another favourite of mine.
Based in Sydney, Australia since November 2007, Leeloo is an online store, blog and community that support young designers and emerging artists. They love hand made, recycled, up-cycled and green, ethically created goodies and limited editions, also small run or one-of-a-kind, re-purposed and anything that prevents useable things going to landfill and given a new lease on life.
Leeloo endeavours to support young and clever people making stuff, those who are having a go, and those who are making cute, kitschy and cool stuff. Leeloo provide a space for them to get known, to find a voice on the web, for people to find out about them. They like to make things easy for their designers by providing them access to a niche of lovely customers within a very supportive network of like-minded creatives.

Made It
Madeit.com.au is a handmade online buying and selling destination, which showcases Australia‘s most creative, undiscovered art, design & craft talent.   Lovers of handmade can purchase items on madeit direct from the seller and can choose from fashion, art, home wares, accessories, stationery, toys, children and babies clothing and much much more.
Madeit.com.au is different to other online designer destinations as it only promotes local Australian talent.
