New paintings by Gemma Jones (plus prints and other fun stuff). This is her fifth solo exhibition, and her  first in Melbourne in many years.

 And girls, of course.

Banners, bunting, pennants, flags are waved as little souvenirs of everyday life. Celebrations and non-celebrations of some inner voices, boring cliches and heartfelt moments. A sideways move for Gemma into works which flirt with semiotics and design in a new, bold way. Still exploring themes of pop art, femininity, feminism and the commodification of our personal lives.
