Blythe Dolls

8 December 2011

In 1972, the Blythe doll was born retailed through Kenner. The Blythe doll had an unique charm with her ever-changing eye color - from green to pink to blue to orange. However, she did not prove to be popular with the market, and was unfortunately discontinued after merely a year. Mainly because her oversize head and peepers were deemed too scary for children, Kenner pulled this kooky, big-eyed doll from the shelves. 28 years later Gina Garan reinvented Blthye and the rest is history.
