The Book Thief

This was my bookclub read in December ( I have only just finished it).  Once I started reading it though,  I could not put it down.  The Book Thief is narrated by Death and is set in Nazi Germany.  Everything revolves around the book thief,  the small poverty stricken town she lives in and the hatred that Hitler washed over everyone.

The Crafters Companion

Back in 2004 I started reading craft blogs, 2005 I started my own blog and in 2007 this book came out. It was the first book that I bought that had all the super talented bloggers I followed and then some - sharing their projects and showing us their crafty surroundings.  It was curated by Anna Torborg.  There was such a great buzz & energy around that time.
Seventeen craft bloggers, seventeen different stories, and seventeen patterns. Still one of my all time favourite "craft books".
