Cocktail Party

We are off to a good friends cocktail party on the week-end.  Now I‘m not a girly girl at all so this kinda thing sends me into a tail spin.  I want to look nice but you will not catch me wearing a dress! So I got to searching about what was appropriate attire in this day and age.  Basically you don‘t have to wear a dress to a cocktail party and it‘s more dressy than smart/casual but not as dressy as black tie. I have a head ache just thinking about it...

I‘d been meaning to have a play around with Polyvore and came up with a few outfit choices:
