Helping Hand Bag was founded in May 2012 to help raise funds for a close friend & her family who was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. This young mum of a 3 year old was 29 weeks pregnant at the time of diagnosis. Understandably the whole situation affected all those who knew and loved her so the idea of supporting them by making bags was born. Since May 2012 through to December 2012 the bags have raised over $11,000 to assist them through this ordeal.

Due to the overwhelming support I received in assisting this family, when I heard the news of another young family of 4 children under 6 being affected by the loss of their mum to cancer, I decided to continue sewing to provide extra funds to reduce their financial pressure.

No personal profit is made in selling these bags other than the personal satisfaction of being able to help others. Obviously I have to cover the cost of purchasing the materials required to make these fabulous bags but other than this all funds go to the family concerned.

With your support by purchasing one of my bags and sharing my webpage with your friends my aim of raising funds can continue.
